Homecoming week kicks off on Sunday, September 27 at 6:45 with the 14th annual Powder Puff flag football game pitting the senior girls against the junior girls. This will be the first Sunday night game in the series and it will be followed by a bonfire and Panther Family Pep Rally open to everyone.
Homecoming week continues with the usual high school traditions of themed days and spirit events. At 2:30pm on Friday, October 2 the game day pep rally will take
place in the newly renovated "Den." The Homecoming Parade has become a successful tradition on its own and will continue in 2015. The parade features the Panther marching band and various vehicles including Alumni Classic Cars. The lineup begins at 4:30pm and departs Sts. Peter and Paul School parking lot at 5:30pm headed for Strobel Field.
The Parade should arrive at Strobel Field around 6:00 and Alumni can head straight to the North end zone for the Alumni End Zone Party sponsored by the SCCS Education Foundation. The end zone party has become another great homecoming tradition and offers a great on field view of the team warming up and playing the game. Alumni can enjoy food, beverages, fellowship and football under the lights. The game against the Edison Chargers gets underway at 7:00pm.
The fun continues on Saturday for both students and Alumni. At 10:00am, the Kinzel Center will be open for a tour for anyone who would like a closer look at this beautiful facility. At 11:30am, up to four alumni flag football teams will compete for the Alumni Flag Football Championship at Zierolf Field. Finally, at 8:00pm on Saturday, students will celebrate Homecoming at the dance in "the Den."

1966 and 1990 FOOTBALL TEAMS TO BE HONORED
The Panthers are looking forward to another great season on the grid iron this year and are honoring their tradition of success on Saturday, September 26. The 1966 and 1990 teams have been invited back to Strobel Field to be honored for their achievements when the 2015 Panthers take on the Carey Blue Devils.
The '66 team was a juggernaut on the field posting a perfect 10-0 record, the first team to reach 10 wins in school history. They were SBC Champions and though no playoff existed at that time, they would have been contenders for a State Title.
The 1990 team posted an 8-2 regular season record on their way to a second consecutive SBC title. The Panthers made it to the State Title game but fell just short, losing to St. Henry 17-20.
The Advancement and Development Department is compiling a list of Panther family and alumni owned businesses to create a Panther Pride Business Directory. The directory will be available online through the school website and SMCC/SCCS Panther Facebook page. The goal is to help support and promote Panther family owned businesses. All current families and alumni are eligible to be listed in the directory. Participating businesses will be given a Panther Pride Business emblem to display at their location. Please submit business name, brief description and contact information to Cindy McClung, Communication and Events Coordinator
by email.
