LEWIS ZOU TO PERFORM AT SCCS
All families and friends of Sandusky Central Catholic School are invited to attend the Catch the Spirit Experience presentation on Friday, October 16 at 2:30pm in "The Den". This month's special guest will be Lewis Zou, a 15 year old piano prodigy. Lewis is a sophomore at Solon High School and began his formal musical education at the age of five at the Cleveland Institute of Music. A full performance by Lewis Zou with Orchestra will be Saturday, October 17 at 7:30pm at The Sandusky State Theatre. Ticket information available at sanduskystate.com, student admission is free for balcony seating.
NATION SHIRT JEANS DAY
Friday, October 23 will be a "wear your favorite nation shirt" jeans day with all proceeds going to the SMCC Model United Nations Group. All Middle and High School students may wear jeans and their favorite nation shirt for a $1 donation or an SCCS spirit shirt for $2. Elementary students, grades K-5 participate free of charge.
CEDAR POINT TRICK OR TREAT
Wednesday, October 21 from 6:00-8:00pm, students in grades K-6 may dress in costume and Trick-or-Treat at Cedar Point. To participate in this free event, guests are asked to bring a canned or boxed food item to benefit Victory Temple Soup Kitchen. Rain date is scheduled for Thursday, October 22.
WRESTLING MEETING
There will be a parent & wrestler informational meeting on

K-3 FLAG FOOTBALL TEAM RECOGNIZED
The K-3 Panther Flag Football Team will be recognized before the Friday, October 23 SMCC Varsity football game vs. Columbus Bishop Ready at Strobel Field Cedar Point Stadium. K-3 players are requested to wear their flag football team t-shirt and meet at the SMCC Bell located at the north end of the stadium at 6:30pm. Players will line up to be announced before the game then form the tunnel for the varsity players as they enter the field for game time. As a reminder, students are admitted to home sporting events free of charge when they wear Panther Spirit Wear clothing. Go Panthers-Go-Fight-Win!
SOUP AND SALAD FOR THE TEACHERS
Parent Teacher Conferences will be Thursday, November 5. Panther Nation will be sponsoring a Soup and Salad Bar for the teachers' evening meal. Cook up your favorite soup or salad and deliver to the Teacher's Lounge after early dismissal at 1:16pm. To sign up email

PINK OUT
Firelands Regional Medical Center is sponsoring a "Pink-Out" at the Friday, October 23 SMCC Varsity football game vs Columbus Bishop Ready. The evening includes trivia games played on the video scoreboard each quarter with fan prizes. All sports fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game as we support Breast Cancer Programs, Awareness and Treatment offered by Firelands Regional Medical Center.

CLOTHING DRIVE
The SMCC Teen Leadership Corps clothing drive continues until October 7-21. Donations of new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves and socks will be given to our local Boys and Girls Club of Sandusky. Donation bins are in the following locations: SCCS main hallway, St. Mary's Church Commons, Sts Peter & Paul Gathering Space and Holy Angels Church front hallway.
GIL KROMER MEMORIAL 5K RUN/WALK
FALL FAMILY FUN- HAYRIDES-STRAW MAZE-PUMPKINS AND MUMS Join the Central Catholic Athletic Boosters on Saturday, October 17 from 2:00-6:00pm at 7610 Ransom Road for a Fall Harvest Family Fun Event featuring hayrides, a straw maze, petting zoo, hot dogs and popcorn. Pumpkins will be available for painting and assorted color mums in 8" pots for $5. Come out and support the CCAB that helps fund the SCCS student athletic programs.

ALUMNI INFORMATION
Cafeteria helpers for
preschool and elementary lunch. Volunteers would assist students with opening food containers, clearing and washing tables. Contact Mrs. Paula Roth at proth@sanduskycc.org . This position does require an FBI/BCI check and Protecting Our Youth Course certificate of completion.
Test administrators for
elementary students who will be participating in a math screening. SCCS is looking for adult volunteers who are willing to be trained and administer the testing. Spirit Shop Volunteers. The SCCS Spirit Shop will be open at all home Varsity Football games and needs a few volunteers to help sell SCCS clothing and spirit items. Please contact Mrs. Chrissy Snow at

FBI and BCI Records Check -can be completed at the Sandusky License Bureau, cost is $61, cash only. 2. Protecting Our Youth Shield the Vulnerable Online Course at http://toledodiocese.org/page/protect-heal-protecting-youth#_on-line_course, the cost for this course is $6.

Chef, bakers, servers, dishwashers and donors are just some of the reasons the Catholic Community Supper is such a success.
