It's a great time to be a member of WBO!
With "Simplify" as our focus for this year, we are going to dig into our policy and procedures, mission, vision and bylaws. You, as a member of WBO, will be encouraged to give feedback to every area of the organization. Mark your calendar for a work day to be held on August 22. More details will be forthcoming.
The Board has voted to "pause" the Women in Business Awards for the upcoming year. This is NOT a permanent cancellation, but rather a time to explore whether this is a good use of our time, talents and treasures. ALL members will be encouraged to give their feedback in the form of a survey that will be coming out in the next month.
Also, be on the lookout for an email outlining all the points talked about at the installation meeting.
I am honored and thrilled to serve as president of WBO for the 2015-2016 year.

If you are a woman business owner, have been in business for at least six months and have annual revenues of $25,000 or more and want to learn more about your financial statements; what they mean and how they can be used to make strategic business decisions, Financial Matter$ is the program for you!
Financial Matter$ links a woman business owner with an accountant and a financial expert for a six-month period to learn about cash flow management, management of accounts payables and receivables, inventory management and the relationship between all financial statements. Working from an established curriculum and gaining expertise from mentors, participants improve management and business decisions. Financial Matter$ is suited for any business, from emerging through accomplished.
Costs:
Non-refundable, tax deductible fee of $350 for Chamber members and $375 for non-members due at orientation and a deposit of $100 must accompany application.
