to explore issues that affect the lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender and queer & questioning (LGBTQ) community.
The event is a community gathering in response to the murder of Zella Ziona, a transgender woman of color from Germantown on the night of October 16, 2015.
We will discuss inclusion, equity, acceptance, and tolerance for LGBTQ residents of Germantown and the surrounding areas. There will be a panel of local leaders to address various viewpoints on these issues, followed by small group discussions where community members can engage in reflection and planning of ways that we can make Germantown a safe and welcoming community for all.
