SOCO CW.
Every week, Jillian Anderson will visit a different local non-profit organization and surprise them with a coffee break.
This past week, Jillian visited Zach's Place and shared some coffee from
Local Bean Roasters and learned about the facility and the valuable respite and child care services we provide families across the Colorado Springs area.
THANKS JILLIAN & LOCAL BEAN ROASTERS FOR THE MUCH NEEDED COFFEE BREAK!!

A NOTE OF THANKS
The Folks At CiCi's Pizza Go Out Of Their Way
One of the places that our ICAN Adult client participants enjoy going to is CiCi's Pizza on 3255 E Platte in Colorado Springs.
The employees are very respectful and kind to our clients and they go out of their way to accommodate our group. One of our clients, on a gluten free diet, can easily dine at Cici's - they offer many gluten-free options.
Thanks CiCi's Pizza for this opportunity for individuals with developmental disabilities to have a wonderful and safe community experience!

SUMMER DAY CAMP
At Zach's Place at the Laurie Hillyard Family Center
To register for Summer Camp, contact Tammy Miklebost
|
During the summer at Zach's Place, we celebrate a different theme every week and base activities on the youth's ages and abilities including their interests and goals. We love taking our youth out in the community and safety is our first concern. Our youth to staff ratio is 1:1 or 1:3.
We plan weekly field trips to the YMCA to swim, visit local bowling centers to bowl and visit local area parks to play. We like to find different and fun places to visit. During past summers we have visited Trader Joes, The Olympic Training Center, The North Pole Amusement Park, Stetson Hills Police Station, the Fire Station on Garden of The Gods and Channel 21.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Ryan Fulton
A little tidbit about Ryan Fulton. He's a junior at the Air Force Academy. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA but currently live in Highlands Ranch, CO. He has an older brother who lives in Charlotte and is 25 years old and is getting married in September. He's a big family man and loves spending time with his parents. His faith is the most important part of his life and he wishes to be an Air Force Special Operator upon graduation. He loves to workout, do Crossfit, ski, fly-fish, and hike.
Ryan saw an opportunity to volunteer at SKSF through the Academy. Once he volunteered, he loved our mission and what we stood for, so he wanted to continue to come back to help in whatever way he could.
"Being able to make an impact in the kids' lives is a very humbling experience and something that I am glad I have the opportunity to be a part of."
Ryan has helped out at the Adult Services building by organizing and also watched some kiddos while CPA/Foster Care training was going on.
