Rare Craft: the letterpress practice of Megan O'Connell
Megan O'Connell teaches and practices letterpress printing, celebrating the art of typography dating back to Gutenberg. Her work was selected by Anthony Bourdain to travel across the US as a part of the 2015 RARE CRAFT COLLECTION. Stop in for a demonstration of the press, see a documentary narrated by Anthony Bourdain on Salt and Cedar, hear travel anecdotes, and browse limited edition barley-themed prints produced in the studio and on the tour. $15/each; $40 for a triptych.

Cranbrook Art Museum presents Maia Asshaq, Publisher and Owner of DittoDitto will host Mariam Ezzat, Artist at The Jar House, 13015 Klinger St., Hamtramck. The Detroit Bluestockings Crew, is a collective inspired by 18th Century Blue Stocking Society in London, a group of accomplished women who rejected their exclusion from British society's intellectual pursuits.
