CASC Announcements
CASC T-Shirt Design Contest 
We are redesigning our t-shirts and we want your designs! Put your creative skills to the test and create the next CASC t-shirt. T-shirt designs must include the following: the CASC logo, a front and back design, a catchy slogan that encompasses CASC values and principles, no more than three colors. The designs will be voted on and approved by the CASC Student Board and the CASC Faculty Committee. We may ask for modifications to designs. Submissions are due by midnight on February 28. You can email your submission to [email protected] or leave a hard copy in the CASC Program Office - 3833 in the SSW. Please send questions to Alice.

Telling the Untold Truth
The Spectrum Center talks about the misconception that sexualized violence can only occur in heterosexual relationships or between cisgendered people.

One Voice Event 
One Voice is an international grassroots movement that amplifies the voice of mainstream Palestinians and Israelis. One Palestinian and one Israeli will be coming to share their personal experiences and provide some analysis of current situations on the ground.

rEVOLUTION: Making Art for Change
The Sexual Assault and Prevention Awareness Center (SAPAC) is accepting submissions for its 9th annual art show. Themes of the show are gender, sexism, sexual violence, and empowerment, and any art medium is welcome! Please e-mail submissions and questions to [email protected] by March 1, 2014.

Alternative Breaks at Home
Alternative Breaks at Home work towards making components of engaged service and active citizenship something individuals can seek out in order to make an impact on their community. ABH allows students to utilize leadership skills and passion for change and engage in the components of service-learning in an independent setting. Learn more here.

Equity Within the Classroom Conference Seeks Student Speaker
The Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives is looking for an undergraduate student speaker to address the audience of the Equity Within the Classroom Conference on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Telluride House

Telluride House is a merit-based residential scholarship committed to establishing a vibrant community supporting democratic ideals of governance, a stimulating intellectual environment, and a commitment to public service. Bonderman Fellowship

The Bonderman Travel Fellowship offers four graduating seniors in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan the chance for an eight-month international trek. Each spring, four fellows will receive $20,000 to travel to at least six countries in two regions of the world, where they'll get to immerse themselves in independent and enriching explorations.  Learn more and apply here (applications open Wednesday, Feb. 26).

Oxfam America Seeks Change Agents

Oxfam America is accepting 50 undergraduates entering their sophomore or junior year to attend a week-long training program in Boston, MA from July 19-25. All costs of attending the training will be covered by Oxfam. CHANGE Leaders will join or form an Oxfam Club and implement an Oxfam campaign on campus during the 2014-15 academic year. AFL-CIO Union Summer Internship Program

The 2014 AFL-CIO Union Summer internship program will be looking to recruit the best and brightest activists for a 9 week paid internship program that introduces students to the labor union movement. 2014 Union Summer internship dates are June 16 - August 15, 2014. MBA Prep Fellowship

Career Prep (CP) is an 18 month career leadership fellowship for underrepresented minorities graduating in Fall 2015 or Spring/Summer 2016. The CP program works with fellows interested in a variety of business industries (i.e, Consulting, Nonprofit/Govt, Tech/Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Media/Entertainment). Center for Progressive Leadership Spring/Summer Internship

The Center for Progressive Leadership is seeking an intern to help support a Michigan leadership development nonprofit, specifically with tasks related to the Economic Justice Alliance of Michigan, minimum wage campaign, and alumni engagement. Wolverine CuiZine

Wolverine CuiZine is a student-run food blog and magazine, and is looking for new staff! Staff activities include cooking lessons, staff dinners, and community service events that center around food. Join a New Social Justice Student Magazine 

As part of the optiMize Challenge, a group of students plans to create a magazine that will share journalistic stories and photographs online and in print about people and organizations of all backgrounds relating to social equality. The magazine is looking for journalists, strong writers, photojournalists, a webdesigner familiar with WordPress and page designers familiar with InDesign.
