OLP ECC Weekly Update 2/05/2016
Our Lady of the Presentation
Early Childhood Center
ECC Families,

We had a great week celebrating Catholic Schools.  Monday we let all of our little students know how important they are to us, Tuesday we continued our service project with the middle school students, Wednesday our teachers and staff felt super appreciated, Thursday we let our families know what they meant to us and we are wrapping it all up today in our classrooms together!  Thank you for sending your child to OLP ECC and being a part of our community!  Don't forget family conferences are coming up soon.  Make sure to take some time to fill out the family conference survey located on our website.  Directions for the survey and how to sign up for a conference are located below.  Next week we begin our Lenten journey on Ash Wednesday and we will end the week with our Valentine classroom parties. Thanks again for all of your support and have a wonderful weekend!

God Bless

Catholic Schools Week 2016
Catholic Schools Week was a huge success!  Thank you to all of our families for your constant support!  Thank you to our wonderful teachers and staff who give of their time and talents everyday.  A special thank you to Ms. Molly and Ms. Kim for all of their work as part of the CSW Committee!  Enjoy our CSW video made up of pictures throughout the week!

Lenten Information
Beginning next week we will have a table up front set up with different family lenten materials.  Feel free to take an item from the table to help your family in their Lenten journey.  Wednesday, February 10th marks the beginning of Lent with our observance of Ash Wednesday.  Pre-K students will not attend Mass that day but Fr. Tom will visit us at 9:45 to distribute ashes.
Spotlight Classroom
Our Spotlight classroom is Ms. Char's 3's & 4's classroom.  This is Ms. Char's second year as a 3's & 4's teacher.  The word I think of when I talk about Ms. Char's class is "friendly".  No matter when I walk by and stick my head in Ms. Char always says " Look who it is" and every student responds "Hello Ms. Cathy!"  The spotlight for Ms. Char's class will be on the website sometime this week.
Valentine Parties February 11 & 12
Valentine Parties are next week.  Most parties will take place on Friday, February 12 from 10-11am with our T/TH classes celebrating on Thursday, February 11 from 10-11am.  If you have questions about how your child's party day is being handled please contact your child's teacher for details.
Family Conference Survey
Families we need your help to make our conferences a success.  We recognize our students first teachers are their parents and we value your input.  Please take some time to fill out a few questions regarding your families educational goals.  The answer to these questions will help facilitate two way communication and provide our teachers with helpful information about your child.  You can find the conference survey on our website under the current families section and the Family Conferences drop down.  This is a secure page so you will need the password ( communication) to view the page.
Family Conferences February 15
*Important Update*  If your child's classroom conference sign up is full please contact your child's teacher and we will set up a time on another day for you to meet.  We will hold our annual family conferences on Monday, February 15.  This is President's Day so our center will be closed for normal business. Below you will find links to the sign ups for each age group.  The classroom teachers are listed on tabs in each signup.  Please choose your child's teacher and pick an open time slot.  All of the signups are linked so if you have another child on one of the other signups you can get there from the drop down menu in the right hand corner.  All sign ups are located on our website also under current families - family conferences.  You will need the password (communication) to view the page.

Kindergarten Roundup
Pre-K families it is time to start thinking about Kindergarten.  The year is flying by and Graduation will be here before you know it!  I would like to personally invite each of you to attend Our Lady of the Presentation School Kindergarten Roundup event.  This event is a great opportunity for you to learn about what OLP can further offer your child after preschool. During Kindergarten Round up you will get important information about what makes OLP such a great elementary school to attend.  You will meet our wonderful Kindergarten teachers and find out what it takes to get registered.  If you have any questions you may contact the school office at 251-1150.  They can also set up an individual tour of the facility as well.  More information can be found in the link below and on the school website. Make sure to check the fun video to see what a great school your child could be a part of!!

Registration 2016-2017 & Summer
It is time to start thinking about next school year and summer enrollment.  We need all of our currently enrolled families to re-register all of their children which are currently attending OLP ECC.  We are not sending out this information by hard copy this year so if this poses a problem for any of our families please contact the office and we will help you with registration.  The form to fill out can be found on our website under the Current Families section.  All families will fill out the form even if your child is in Pre-K and not coming for the summer we still need to know this.  If you have more than two children to re-enroll than please fill out the form twice.  You will be asked about summer registration and any siblings not yet enrolled.  Families will have from now until Friday, March 4 to fill out this form and pay the registration fee for next school year.  Summer session fees are not due at this time.  The link to the page on our website can be found below
