Dr. Franco Mueller, MD - Partner and Medical Director
Dr Mueller has over 10 years PBM as well as Medical claims auditing experience as well as over 20 years medical and UHCistrative field experience. Former Managing Director Cardiovascular Center and Cardiology at Presbyterian New York Hospital, Dr. Mueller was responsible for all contract structuring and negotiations, handling MCO contracting. His knowledge of information technology requirements in the clinical, research, and business environments extends beyond the basic needs of practice management and electronic data interchange to data base design and management as well as statistical analysis. Furthermore, he has an extensive clinical research background and experience. He has written and co-authored more than 60 scientific papers and book chapters, is a charter member of the American Society of Hypertension and member of the New York Academy of Sciences and has been invited as guest speaker and researcher to numerous national and international conferences. He received his medical degree from the University of Basel in Switzerland and is an Associate Clinical Professor Medicine, Cornell Medical College.
Mr. Pieter A. van Hoeven, MBA - Partner
Mr. van Hoeven has over 10 years auditing experience, and is one of the partners in the firm. Before TFG Partners he had over 15 years of experience, in health care informatics, former Group Director of IMS Health, the largest pharmaceutical and health information service provider and Senior Engagement Manager, McKinsey and Company. He worked on EDI transfer and rebate adjustment standards, developed a deep understanding of claims and pricing information and worked in this area with a number of healthcare informatics companies ranging from Truven to AllScripts, Wolters Kluwer, Solucient, HCIA and others. Pieter received his BBA from the Netherlands University of Business, and holds an MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Fox School of Business, Temple University, Philadelphia, where he also pursued doctoral studies in international finance. He has taught a variety of classes including operations improvement and micro-economics at McKinsey & Co. and has lectured frequently at Wharton, University of Pennsylvania as well as national conferences.
