Following is a message from Janet Hope, the Assistant Deputy Minister Housing Division, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing:
Ontario is working to ensure seamless, co-ordinated and appropriate support for refugees arriving in this province. Across the province, many different civic, professional, and other groups are working together to assist the newcomers in settling and integrating into new communities. Provincial ministries are assisting across many sectors to mobilize and identify provincial resources to support a successful resettlement of refugees.
To support transparency and information sharing, Ontario has created a Google Drive document repository where information sheets, memos, and other public documents that have been developed by provincial ministries can be accessed.
Once there, you will see that the drive is divided by ministry and subject matter. The documents inside these folders can be viewed online or downloaded.
Please be patient when first opening the Drive as sometimes documents can take a moment to load. Hitting "F5" on your keyboard can speed this process up. Also, important to note is that you have to sign in to Google before you can view the documents in the Drive. If you don't have a Gmail account, you can create a Google account with your current email.
The drive will be refreshed when new information is available. Please save the link to this drive, and continue to visit it for the most up-to-date information.
