Volunteers Needed for the Chandler Chamber's Ostrich Festival, Mayor's Fun Run and Parade

(Chandler, AZ) - It takes many volunteers to put on the Chandler Chamber's Ostrich Festival March 11 - 13th and the Ostrich Festival Mayor's Fun Run and the Ostrich Festival Parade March 5th. Volunteering at the Ostrich events is a fun way to fulfill community service hours for school and work. Many different types of positions are available for all ages.

The Mayor's Ostrich Festival 5k Fun Run/Walk is the opening event of the 28th Annual Chandler Ostrich Festival. Volunteers are needed for the run including registration, setup, at turn points and the awards ceremony. The run will take place on the parade route, south on Arizona Avenue.

The Ostrich Festival Parade will take place following the Mayor's Fun Run on Saturday morning, March 5th, 2016 at 10:00 am. The parade route starts at Ray Road and Arizona Avenue, proceeds south on Arizona Avenue to Chicago St. Parade watchers are encouraged to bring their chairs and blankets to enjoy the parade. Volunteers are needed for staging of entries, holding banners in the parade and more.

Many volunteers will be needed for the Ostrich Festival itself March 11 - 13th. Beverage pourers to ticket takers and information posts will be needed.
