And Welcome to Kent State's Newsletter for Indian Students

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and to acquaint you with the inaugural issue of the Kent State Student Newsletter. It is specially created for high school students in India who seek an education in the United States and who are looking for an American university that is a perfect match for their academic aspirations and personal lifestyle. We hope that through our articles and stories, you'll be convinced that sometime in your near future, Kent State will be your preferred destination for a high quality, affordable education.

I am proud to say that out of an international population of over 3,000 students who attended Kent State last semester, nearly 800 were from India. I am sure that number has increased substantially with our spring enrollment. I believe these numbers demonstrate that Kent State is a welcoming destination for Indian students. To learn why so many Indian students are finding a "home-away-from-home" at Kent State, I hope you enjoy this issue of our newsletter - as well as our future issues.

My colleagues at the Office of Global Education at Kent State tell me that although the spring semester has just begun, the campus right now is cold and covered in a thin blanket of snow. Students are bundled in warm clothing as they walk from class to class and summer couldn't seem further away.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in applying to Kent State. I look forward to hearing from you.

In closing, I wish to offer my sincere best wishes to each of you on your upcoming board exams! Stay positive and believe in yourself, but get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast, too!
