FALL 2015

At Thanksgiving, Bath Community Fund is thankful for you!

As Thanksgiving approaches, Bath Community Fund's advisory board and committee members would like to thank all of our generous donors and supporters . With your help, BCF has raised more than $255,000 in less than 18 months. We couldn't have done it without you! May your Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season be filled with joy, peace, and a feeling of deep satisfaction for making Bath Community Fund possible.

'For Bath, Forever' campaign aims to raise $2.018 million

Following the successful completion of our Founding Donors goal in June, we are now setting our sights on the next stage of the "For Bath, Forever" endowment campaign. Our ultimate goal is to raise $2.018 million by Bath's bicentennial in 2018. While this may seem ambitious, we know Bath is an extraordinarily generous and committed community. With an endowment of more than $2 million, BCF would be able to grant approximately $100,000 back into the township each year, enriching our community now and forever.

But we need your help:
  • We invite you to send us your ideas for how we can strategically grow the fund, whether it's through neighborhood gatherings, increased publicity, or another avenue.
  • We invite you to be part of the plans to grow Bath Community Fund by volunteering to serve on one of the fund's committees to help with outreach and fundraising efforts.
We want to hear from you!

Bath Community Fund to award first grant(s) in 2016

Thanks to your support, BCF is gearing up to award our first grants next year. The core purpose of the fund is to preserve Bath's historical and environmental legacy; support local nonprofits; respond to community needs; and help the less fortunate among us. Our Grants Advisory Committee is working hard to identify areas of need in our community, and we want your input on how BCF can make the most impact with our first grants. Suggestions have included a walking trail behind Bath Pond, renovations to historic properties like the Bath Town Hall, a needed expansion at the Bath Veterans Memorial Park, support for free community arts programs and activities, and much more.

BCF hosts donor celebrations, announces raffle winners

In recent months, Bath Community Fund has increased our presence in the community by attending events like Bath Community Day and Fall into Nature. In addition, we hosted two donor celebrations at the Regal Beagle this fall. At each of these events, we had a table display with information about the fund. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, several donated raffle prizes helped draw attention to our displays. Prizes included an Apple iPad Air donated by True Wealth Design, dinner for six at Tre Belle donated by Ken and Lori Stewart, and a gift basket of wines and goodies donated by several local businesses. Our lucky winners were Beth Gerberich, Marianne Wohl and Tammy Coffee. Congratulations to all!

Give the gift that lasts forever this holiday season

As the holidays approach, a gift to Bath Community Fund is the perfect way to honor a friend, family member, or colleague while making a lasting difference in the community we live in and love. The people you honor will receive a card letting them know of your gift in their name. Gifts of cash can be made online until midnight on Dec. 31. For gifts of appreciated stock, transfers should be initiated by Dec. 22 to ensure year-end processing.  Thank you for your generosity!
