PHOX is from Baraboo, WI. The six best friends who make up the ensemble happen to be blessed with madness, illusions of grandeur, and the inability to do the same thing twice. They also play music.  
PHOX has appeared on National Public Radio's "Tiny Desk Concert," and performed at festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Summerfest, Sasquatch, and the inaugural Eaux Claires Music and Arts Festival.

Guitarist Mark Kroos

Kroos is known for playing two guitar necks simultaneously, and is one of the only people in the world touring his trade. He became a YouTube sensation with his solo version of "Dueling Banjos," and was the 2011 winner of Guitar Magazine's International Guitar Superstar Competition.  Muriel Anderson, 1989 International Fingerstyle Guitar Champion, has said "Mark Kroos plays with a sensitivity to the music and positive energy that is truly refreshing."

  In a village in northern Turkey, Lale and her four sisters are walking home from school, playing innocently with some boys. The immorality of their play sets off a scandal that has unexpected consequences. The family home is progressively transformed into a prison; instruction in homemaking replaces school and marriages start being arranged. The five sisters who share a common passion for freedom, find ways of getting around the constraints imposed on them.


Concert for Horn and Organ

Rhonda Sider Edgington concertizes in the US and Europe mainly with a concentration on the organ. She  has put together a program which highlights the special qualities  of this unique instrument. Collaborating with her will be Greg 
Bassett, a parishioner of St. Francis, French Horn player with the  West Michigan Symphony Orchestra, and philosophy professor at Hope  College. They will perform works by Corelli for French Horn and  Organ, and Telemann for Organ and Two French Horns, with guest Lisa Honeycutt.


Special Showing: The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet

  Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet is a dramatic action, adventure  film centered on the life of ten-year-old cartographer T.S. Spivet, who claims he got the brains and his twin brother got the brawns. This becomes evident after T.S. receives a phone call congratulating him on winning the prestigious Baird Prize by the Smithsonian Institution for his invention. T.S. decides leaves his family's remote ranch in Montana to make his way across the United States to receive his prize. 


 "Music, Arts and Placemaking"
 Arts and Humanities Symposium

  The presentations will feature scholars from multiple disciplines discussing how public spaces can help to build community in their design and purpose, with a focus on art and museums in particular.  The symposium will feature three talks and responses beginning every hour starting at 1 p.m. in Cook Auditorium of the college's De Pree Art Center and Gallery, followed immediately by an artist's talk and opening reception for the exhibition "Katie Wynne: Work Day."
