We hope to see you at camp!

Homeless Rights in Calgary

People experiencing homelessness have the right to be treated the same as any other person by the government and public services. They have the right to be treated fairly in the legal system. They have the right to not lose or miss out on services because they do not have identification.
In June, we attended the launch of the Homeless Charter of Rights (pdf). Read about the Charter, and what homelessness looks like at the Women's Centre on our blog
Social Issues Committee Update

Women have stories to tell, have experiences that can inform issues, and face barriers to equity and participation in society. At the Women's Centre, we work to provide a space where women can openly explore social issues that affect our communities like poverty, childcare and violence against women. Together, we can bring about positive change in society.

Find out what the Social Issues Committee volunteers are up to in this blog by one of our volunteers.
