The Kitsap Peninsula Region... A Birding Paradise
With more than 370 miles of shoreline, the Kitsap Peninsula region is a paradise for thousands of migratory water birds that winter here each year.
That means it's also a paradise for bird watchers, who can view this natural spectacle from public docks, beaches, bridges and parks until April. Grab your binoculars and come on over to the Kitsap Peninsula for a day or weekend getaway.

You don't have to go out of your way to find great birding on the Kitsap Peninsula. Even our cities are filled with opportunities. Bremerton's Warren Avenue Bridge is home to a colony of Pelagic Cormorants and a pair of Peregrine Falcons. Great Blue Herons and Bald Eagles frequent the Poulsbo waterfront and nearby Lemolo Shore Drive. And the Port Orchard and Silverdale waterfronts are also popular destinations for shore birds and water fowl.
