Great news, foodies! The Midwest City City Council recently approved amendments to an existing code regarding food trucks. Food truck operators can now operate within the city limits of Midwest City in business or industrial zoned areas, if they are licensed and acquire the proper permits for special events. Splash 'n Dash Into
Summer Fun.

Splash 'n Dash will take place Aug. 28, at Reno Swim & Slide and Joe B. Barnes Regional Park in Midwest City. This exciting new summer event is a

non-competitive, biathlon-type activity that is free and open to boys and girls ages 7-12. Splash 'n Dash consists of a 1K fun run and 50m swim to provide kids with the opportunity to explore the world of multisport activities.

 

Registration on race day is at Reno Swim & Slide beginning at 5:30 p.m. The races will take place at 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m.

'Fall' for Midwest City This Season.

 

The fun doesn't end with summer in Midwest City. Exciting events continue into the fall season with year round family-friendly activities. Let the kids enjoy the outdoors and learn the basics of fishing at the "Fishing Clinic," Sept. 5. Enjoy a day with the family and your pooch at Reno Swim & Slide at "Doggie Paddle" on Sept. 7, plus musical entertainment continues with "Fall Concerts in the Park" at Charles J. Johnson Central Park at twilight each Thursday in September. Experience an event for car and motorcycle enthusiasts in the Eastern Oklahoma County area with "Cruise in for Coffee" on the third Saturday of each month from 8-11 a.m. through October.
