NEW Adult Education Class | Begins March 1
We've learned about ancient history and studied modern Zionism. In this class we will look at what the country of Israel is like today.  The six issues to be explored are:

1)   Democracy in Israel vs American democracy.
2)   Economics and settlement.  Socialism vs free market economics in Israel.  Settlements patterns in Israel through history
3)  Ethnicity in Israel.
4)   Religious expression in Israel.  Freedom of religion and freedom from religion.
5)   The military in Israeli life.  Who serves and how do they serve?
6)   War and peace, justice and security.  Roots of the Arab-Israeli conflict, its history and future.

Bruce Hicken will teach this class, which will meet on Tuesdays in March-April:  3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/12 at 6:30 p.m.
