Warm Hands, Warm Hearts Draws a Crowd

On January 28, more than 60 friends and supporters of Joseph's Home made Warm Hands, Warm Hearts 2016 an amazing - and very fun - success.

The event is primarily social, but also aims to promote awareness of the Joseph's Home mission of service to acutely ill homeless individuals. Guests mingled in front of the fireplace while enjoying Market Garden Brewery's expertly-crafted beer and a variety of appetizers.

Executive Director Christine Horne welcomed the crowd, which included guests from allied and partner organizations such as Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries, EDEN, Catholic Charities and Frontline Service. Several Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine were also in attendance.

Horne also announced that Perseverance in Hope: The 2016 Joseph's Home Benefit Luncheon will feature Dan Moulthrop of the City Club in a headlining role. See below for more information on this exciting news.

Thank you to Market Garden Brewery and to all who attended!

Holiday Cheer Abounds at Annual Christmas Party
Generous Individuals and Parishes Make the Season Bright for Men in Need
Joseph's Home residents, alumni, volunteers, staff and board members gathered for the annual Christmas Party on December 23.  Everyone enjoyed a delicious holiday meal featuring dishes prepared by staff members. Volunteers Debra Wilden, Barb VonBenken and VA Liaison Cara Reynolds organized the hundreds of donated gifts.

Many thanks to our volunteers and to the individuals and groups who contributed gifts! Your generosity helped to meet many pressing needs, and touched the hearts of our men. Five parishes included Joseph's Home in their giving trees:
  • Holy Spirit Parish, Garfield Heights
  • Our Lady of Angels Parish, Cleveland
  • St. Clarence Parish, North Olmsted
  • St. John Neumann Parish, Strongsville
  • St. Matthias Parish, Parma
