The Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Census Bureau recently reported that in 2015 they saw an overall 14.5% increase in new home sales, which is the highest increase we've seen since 2007. In December, in the Northeast alone, new home sales increased by 21%.
This is great news if you've been thinking about building a new home. Chief Economist David Crowe of The National Association of Home Builder's credits low interest rates and an improving economy for motivating buyers to build new or to purchase a home that a builder currently has under construction or one that has recently been completed.
