Registration for these classes closes on Tuesday, February 9 .

Chemistry for Kids
Friday, February 12
9 a.m. to noon
Students in this c lass are invited to discover the world of Chemistry. In Kopernik's laboratories, they will use chemistry to create cool stuff such as slime and bouncy balls, and they will investigate chemical reactions, watching products change color and fizz! This will be great fun for young scientists who love to experiment.

Eyes on the Earth

Friday, February 12
1 p.m. to 5 p.m.        
Earth Students will use the NASA's web-based app to make Earth science come alive!  Using this immersive, 3-D tool, students will be able to monitor physical parameters, such as sea level height, atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration, and ozone layer thickness. They will be able to trace the movement of water around the globe, spot volcanic eruptions and forest fires, and find the hottest and coldest locations on Earth. They also will get a sneak peek at upcoming missions and learn how NASA is planning to study our Earth in the future.

Pegasus classes are offered on weekends, school holidays, and occasional evenings throughout the school year. The program is named for the mythological winged-horse Pegasus, symbolizing the beauty, strength, and freedom of each individual to dream big and reach for the stars.
