Mayor: City ready to give up big bargaining chips for new police union deal
The City of San Antonio has notified the San Antonio Police Officers Associationthat its leadership is ready to make major compromises in order to resume stalled negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement. What City Hall wants in return, according to Mayor Ivy Taylor, is for the union to agree to meet at least five times before the end of the month in hopes of striking a new deal by March 31.
The aggregate net worth of all the billionaires was $6.5 trillion, down $570 million from last year's list.
From San Antonio, Tom Benson, 88, owner of the NFL's New Orleans Saints and NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, was the richest on the list, tied at No. 810 with a net worth of $2.2 billion. He moved up from last year's ranking of No. 1,006 and an estimated net worth of $1.9 billion. Benson has been involved in an estate battle with his daughter and her family for more than a year. Last month, daughter Renee Benson won control from her father in an out-of-court settlement.
