Leadership York County (LYCO)
The Leadership York County (LYCO) class of 2016 is creating new partnership opportunities between local non-profits and the business community. Working with Renew Our Community (ROC), class members are preparing to launch Safe Place York County, a local arm of the National Safe Place organization. Safe Place is primarily a youth outreach effort focusing on victims of domestic violence, assault, substance abuse, bullying, etc. Participating "Safe Place" businesses are generally convenient, high-traffic locations where employees are trained to respond to individuals in-need by contacting appropriate local resources. QuikTrip
convenience  stores are established Safe Place partners and the LYCO class hopes to lay the groundwork for expanding to multiple other York County partners in the near future. Fundraising efforts are now underway and a launch of the program is set for early May. Interested in becoming a Safe Place partner?  Visit this link or email Colleen Dick for more information.
