Finding Strength at the Ronald McDonald House

When Yvonne and Jarrod Duff of Greenfield, IN, found out they were expecting their first child together, the couple was elated. They began to make plans for their future as they anxiously awaited the arrival of their baby.

However, their wait proved to be much shorter than anticipated as early testing showed that Yvonne was suffering from small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma- a rare and aggressive form of cervical cancer. After many discussions regarding treatment, Yvonne's medical team decided on an aggressive four-week course of action that would ultimately result in an early delivery of their baby girl.

Thank You to Our Corporate Partner NextGear Capital

It's hard for us not to mention NextGear Capital and gratitude in the same sentence. Since 2009, NextGear's support and commitment to the Ronald House of Indiana and the families we serve can be seen through their generous annual donations, event support, in-kind donations and volunteerism.  Whether preparing a meal or sponsoring an event, these gifts of time, treasure and talent have helped enable our House to nurture a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage and joy.

We are proud to call the Ronald McDonald House our partner," says Patty Turner, Director of Events and Community Relations with NextGear Capital. "We are grateful that we have a part in providing comfort and care to sick children and their families."

Thank you NextGear Capital for all you and your employees do to keep families together when they need it most!
Join Hank's Volunteer Army on Saturday, March 12!

Looking for a fun and unique opportunity to give back to Ronald McDonald House families? Join local country music station, HankFM at the Ronald McDonald House on Saturday, March 12 from 10 a.m. - noon to help pack "going home" bags and bake cookies at our House on Limestone!

After a long stay at the hospital, families often have not had to think about grocery shopping or meal planning once they return home and are just anxious to get back. Our going home bags, generously donated by Thirty-One Gifts, are filled with snacks, activities, helpful resources and all of the fixings for a family's first meal to have at home -- helping to ease their minds even after they have left the House.
