The Prison Outreach Program of the Shura Council has an immediate part-time job opening for a Khateeb-cum-Chaplain to serve Muslims in the County,State and Federal Prisons in Southern California. Candidates with the following qualifications are highly encouraged to apply.
Proven experience to give Friday Khutbahs in English
Demonstrable knowledge about the basics of Islam
Legal status to live and work in the United States
Valid Drivers License and Reliable Transportation
Available to work between Friday and Sunday
