National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program Application Cycle Open Through April 5, 2016
 
Accepting applications through April 5, 7:30 p.m. ET
The NHSC Loan Repayment Program offers medical, dental and behavioral health providers up to $50,000 in exchange for two-years of service at an NHSC-approved site. There are over 100 approved sites in Nevada; a pdf list is available for download from the Nevada Primary Care Office website (PDF - 204 KB).
National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship Program Application Cycle Open Through April 28, 2016
 
 
Accepting Applications through April 28, 7:30 p.m. ET
 
The NHSC Scholarship Program is available to individuals accepted to or enrolled in an accredited U.S. school to become a primary care physician (MD or DO), dentist, nurse practitioner (post graduate degree with clinical practice focus), certified nurse-midwife or physician assistant.
 
The scholarship pays tuition, fees, other educational costs, and provides a living stipend in return for a commitment to work at least 2 years at an NHSC-approved site in a medically underserved community. There are over 100 approved sites in Nevada; a pdf list is available for download from the Nevada Primary Care Office website (PDF - 204 KB) .

 
NURSE Corps Scholarship Program Application Cycle 
Open Through May 5, 2016


Accepting Applications through May 5, 7:30 p.m. ET

The NURSE Corps Scholarship Program enables students accepted or enrolled in a diploma, associate, baccalaureate or graduate nursing program, including RN to BSN, RN to MSN-NP, Direct Entry MSN-NP program to receive funding for tuition, fees and other educational costs in exchange for working at an eligible NURSE Corps site upon graduation. National Health Service Corps (NHSC) New Site Certification and Site Recertification Application Dates

New NHSC Site Application Cycle

For health care sites that have never been previously approved as an NHSC site, the new site application cycle is set to be open from April 12, 2016 to June 7, 2016. Sign up  to get an e-mail when it opens. For any questions regarding the application process, contact Scott Jones at (775) 684-4047 or [email protected].

NHSC Site Recertification Cycle

All active NHSC sites with a 2016 expiration date should apply for recertification during the NHSC site recertification cycle. Inactive sites wishing to reactivate their status should also apply during the recertification cycle. The recertification cycle is set to be open from August 9, 2016 to October 4, 2016.
