GET TAX PREP HELP


There is some help to make your filing less taxing this year.  If you earned $54,000 or less in 2015, you may qualify for free tax preparation and the Earned Income Tax Credit.   Neighbors 4 Neighbors along with our partners at Children's Services Council of Broward County, Hispanic Unity and the United Way of Broward County want you to get the most from your hard earned money.  If you aren't sure if you qualify or want more information, please log on to  www.vitataxesfree.org or call 211.  
This service is provided throughout Broward County at more than 14 permanent tax sites at local nonprofit locations as well as via a tax mobile unit at 20+ partner sites. And, trained IRS-certified volunteer tax preparers will assist individuals in English, Spanish, French, Haitian-Creole, Portuguese and sign-language at designated tax sites.

Neighbors 4 Neighbors will be embarking on a wonderful project with our partners at the  Herbert Hoover Foundation  in an effort to bring awareness to a national treasure in our own backyard, Biscayne National Park.

NEIGHBORS 4 NEIGHBORS APPOINTS MICHAEL GOODMAN AS BOARD CHAIR; ANNOUNCES 2016 BOARD MEMBERS
 
MIAMI (March 8, 2016) - Neighbors 4 Neighbors , recognized as a vital community resource for more than two decades, has appointed Michael Goodman as chair along with other volunteer board members for 2016. The organization, founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew in 1992, empowers South Florida residents to inspire action by helping their fellow neighbors in need.

A notable community activist, Michael Goodman, founder of GPR | Goodman Public Relations, possesses an extensive history of advocacy for a variety of philanthropic causes in South Florida. A long time board member of Neighbors 4 Neighbors, Goodman was recently honored by the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood for his dedication to the arts. He is also a current board member of ARC Broward, board secretary of the Florida Theatrical Association and vice-chair of the City of Wilton Manors Community Affairs Advisory Board. His past community engagement includes board and other leadership roles in support of the African American Research Library, ArtServe, City of Oakland Park, Family Central, Harvey Milk Foundation, Junior Achievement, Leadership Broward Foundation, The Pride Center, United Way and more.
