Three great shows! Pick your favorite! Or come see all them all!
First up this Friday, we are kicking off the Coast's annual toast to our beloved St. Patrick with our First Annual Irish Jamboree. And we've got Irish music aplenty, so grab a pint from the concession stand and settle in for some rowdy Irish craic.
Tybee's own
In For A Penny Irish folk punk band starts things off with Sean McNally on
mandolin and vocals. The three-piece band made its debut during Savannah's St Paddy's Day 2015 with nearly a dozen shows in less than week, and now are a staple on the Savannah and Tybee pub circuit with their own fresh spin on a genre shared by the likes of The Dropkick Murphy's, Flogging Molly and the Rumjacks?
We've also got
Seldom Sober, one of Savannah's most experienced Irish bands. Seldom Sober was formed in 2007 and stars Colleen Settle, who hails from the New York area, on fiddle and vocals and Michael Corbett, a New England native, on guitar and lead vocals.
Fri., March 11, 8 pm. Doors open at 7:30
Tickets $15 general admission; $13.50 Theater members.
Then Saturday night, the Bard returns to the beach.
This time it's his tragic romance
Romeo & Juliet produced by the
Savannah Stage Company. If you missed the show in Savannah in February, get your tickets now!
You know the story: A violent street brawl between their rival families is the prelude to Romeo's first encounter with Juliet. Despite this, and the fact that Juliet has been promised to another, they fall in love. But any plans for their future happiness are cruelly destroyed by renewed violence between their families, and tragedy begins to unfold.
In this six-person cast and one-hour long adaptation by Katy Brown, the movement from love at first sight to the lovers' final union is unique to say the least.
Bri
ng the whole family!

And, finally, Sunday, we launch our
Movies Made Here film series! You've been asking for it. We listened! We're going to show once a month a motion picture filmed on Tybee or Savannah or both. And what better movie to begin with than that beautiful summer romance,
The Last Song.
We all remember when Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth came to town and set the island abuzz for months with the filming on the South Beach and Back River, not to mention their budding real-life romance. Who was at StingRay's when Miley picked up a guitar and sang a few songs? Yes, it all started here, a
nd
word is the two lovebirds are back together again! So let's relive that summer with them. You know you want to!
Tybee never looked so lovely on the big screen.
Sun. March 14, Two showings: 4 pm and 7 pm.
