Monday, September 21; 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Mary Ellen Gondeck, CSJ; Rev. Debbie Eisenbise, Lorilyn Wiering, Sara Morley LaCroix
An evening presentation will provide a personal connection for us as we hear from members of the Red Cord Community. Founded in Grand Rapids, the Red Cord Community “stands in solidarity with and seeks to offer healing for women who have survived prostitution, trafficking, addiction and abuse.” Founder and Spiritual Director Lorilyn Wiering and others will speak about their work.
There will be opportunity to engage an interactive art piece comprised of hundreds of red prayer ribbons, to discuss current policy initiatives, to consider our personal connection and commitment to eradicating human trafficking, and to pray. All are welcome: activists and those new to this work and anyone wanting to learn more.
Free will offering. Please register by Friday, September 18.
