March madness is here, and the weather has allowed for some early season blooming.   Have you noticed all the new buildings and businesses "blooming" in our City, and especially in District 2 ?

The Wichita Eagle had an article about Bradley Fair's announcement of Pottery Barn coming soon.   Quoting from the same article,  "Wichita has been on something of a run of national retail wins in the last few years.  That includes a new Costco at Kellogg and Webb Road, Whole Foods Market and Ethan Allen Design Center at Waterfront Plaza at 13th and Webb Road, Cabela's at Regency Lakes at 21st and Greenwich and Sephora and Fresh Market at Bradley Fair."

When reading this, I have to share that all of these "wins" mentioned are located in our growing and flourishing District 2!  I want to thank our local developers and investors for believing in Wichita.

Also, worth noting is another Wichita Eagle article dated Feb. 27 about

This article identifies and describes a significant investment in dowtown Wichita of nearly $200 million in new and remodeled projects, including Union Station and new apartments on the river.

We try to keep you updated with all the events and these new business openings, both large and small, on our District 2 Facebook page.  I encourage you to "like" or "comment" and share this with others.

Our City and District 2 are clearly experiencing a resurgence, and I am happy to be a small part of that as the City Council representative.

Have a great weekend, and hoping our Shockers bring home another "Arch Madness" championship.

Go Shox!
