Brampton Economic Indicators
The Brampton Economic Indicators is a monthly report about the City of Brampton's economic activity. 

In January 2016, the Regional Municipality of Peel had an unemployment rate of 6.2 per cent, the lowest rate since 2008. 

Film Industry Binges on Brampton
The film and television industry has taken notice of Brampton's advantages.

Last year was extremely successful for filming in Brampton, resulting in the highest economic impact the city has ever seen.

The Momentum has started: Placemaking - Economy 
More than 200 businesspeople, investors, developers and property owners gathered for an event that included opportunities to network and join in the discussion on "Placemaking - Economy." The event included presenters from four distinct spaces within Ontario.
Brampton Economic Development Office and Tourism honoured at annual EDCO Awards   
Brampton's economic development leadership was on display in Toronto at the Economic Development Council of Ontario Awards of Excellence. Brampton walked away with two awards and an honourable mention.
TO Health! Announces its Evolution 
TO Health! announced its evolution and strategy to raise the profile of the Toronto Region Human Health and Sciences (HHS) cluster. The vision of the initiative is to make the Toronto region a Top 5 global health science cluster in the next 10 years.
 
Brampton's Economic Development and Tourism Office Hosts the 2016 MBA Games Case Competition
In January, approximately 80 MBA students from across Canada arrived at Brampton City Hall's West Tower. They were participating in a component of the 2016 MBA games, a prestigious national competition and the largest gathering of MBA students in Canada.

New school in Brampton dedicates $500,000 in grants for Ontario's best and brightest students 
Walden International School is opening its doors to a founding cohort of 50 students entering high school in September 2016. The school's founders have committed to restoring the fundamentals of learning and redefining what it means to be a school.
