Family Dance Night at Open House
Come and dance with us on Open House night!  Mrs. Withers and Mrs. Morris will be hosting a family folk dance night in the gym on March 8th from 5:30-7:00pm during open house.  All family members are invited to join the fun!  (No dance experience required!) 

 
All NISD campuses and offices will be closed for spring break March 14-18.  Classes will resume on Monday, March 21. 
 
 
Spring Concert
Save the date!  Our Kindergarten students and our Rhythm and Rhyme choir will be performing at our Spring Concert!  The concert will be held in the Schluter gym on April 12th at 6pm!  We hope to see you there!
 
 
Daylight Savings Time
Don't forget that Saturday night, March 12th, is the beginning of Daylight Savings.  Remember to set your clock ahead one hour.
 
Bad Weather Make-up Day/Student Holiday 
Friday, March 25 is a student holiday and staff development day. This date was scheduled as a bad weather make-up day, and since the district has not had to close for inclement weather, it will be a student holiday.
 
STAAR Testing 
Our campus will be closed to all visitors on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 29th and 30th due to STAAR testing.  Testing will occur as follows:
March 29 - STAAR - 4th Grade Writing; 5th Grade Math
March 30 - STAAR - 4th Grade Writing; 5th Grade Reading

Volunteer Opportunities
Our Maker Space Room is open for all 2nd-5th grade students during recess.  We need volunteers to supervise kids as they get their creative juices rolling.  All volunteers must complete a background check found on our NISD website.
 
Campbell Soup Labels
Please help our library by collecting Campbell's labels.  As you are fixing soup and tasty treats for the holidays, remember to save your labels.  This is the last  year we will be collecting Campbell's Soup labels because the company is changing the program.  Please send any labels you have before the end of the year.
 
 
Legos Needed
We are looking for lego donations!  If you have any extra legos please send them to the library.  We are especially needing 10x10 plates.  Thank you!
 
Read To Your Bunny!

Spring Sports Camp at Eaton High School
NISD has partnered with City Development Academy (Eaton location) for youth soccer in this area.  We will offer: Elite and recreational teams, Camps, skill sessions, speed and agility, GK training, etc.  For more information please refer to www.dfwda.com .  
 
The ultimate goal is to create teams for each age group and gender that will offer high quality coaching and training for the youth in the area. 
 
There will be a spring break camp March 14th-17th. Attached is an informational flyer.    Registration can be done online (Eaton location).   Spring skills classes will be coming soon in April/May with dates to be announced.
