Mission and Vision of the S & R Committee
The Scholarship & Research Committee was convened as a standing committee of the School of Education by Interim Dean Ken Fawson during the 2012-2013 academic year and subsequently further encouraged by two additional Deans to develop a
culture of scholarship and research within the school. The committee's quest is to create an environment in which faculty can share their scholarship as well as expand their research to inform and successfully address our university's mission of providing outstanding instruction for our students. Communicating about faculty scholarship and encouraging collaboration reflects on all five elements of the School's Conceptual Framework, STARS. It provides evidence of the practice of Scholarship,Teamwork with colleagues and other professionals, Active Reflection on our practice, Responsible Citizenship in the demonstration of ethical practice and Modeling Standards of exemplary practice.
We look forward to your continued contributions!
