The Limits of Tolerance

Is there a boundary beyond which tolerance doesn't apply? Can too much tolerance be destructive?  Can anger be a constructive emotion when tolerance fails?

Worship Leader: Reverend Russ Menk
Worship Associate: Lorraine Sandoval-Vigil

March Theme is Tolerance

Thank You!

A congregational thanks to Reverend Russ, the members of the Mutual Discernment Committee, the Committee on Shared Ministry and the Board for the clear, concise, genuine presentation of the state of our Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. It was truly an exercise in this Beloved Community of cooperation, collaboration and authentic concern for the future of our Fellowship. We received so many heart felt positive affirmations for the direction we are heading and the call to action.  Thanks to the many members who showed up for the Town Hall Meeting last Sunday.

Dream Group

The next six week cycle of our Dream Group (Dreaming as Spiritual Practice, but don't let the title scare you away; it is fun) began February 16, 2016 from 7-9 PM in the Gallery, facilitated by Phoebe Evans, MIPD. The recommended donation is $40 for the six weeks, but it is sliding scale and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. For questions or interest, please call Jenny Choate 831-588-6508 or Phoebe 831-359-1231.

Chili Contest Results

What fun we had last Sunday with our Chili Contest. There were a variety of chili recipes: vegetarian, beef, and other meats (including pork, turkey and buffalo!) Apparently we have a diversity of tastes in chili, because all received many votes. But there was a winner, chili #1, a beef chili prepared by Michele Pomroy. The chili made by Jane McCreadie was a close second. Now on to the big show Friday March 18 at Resurrection Catholic Church. This main event will be a fund raiser to provide showers for homeless people in the mid-county area. And just as importantly, it is an opportunity for members of churches to meet each other and work toward a common goal. We want lots of our Fellowship members to attend.  If you would like to help Michele with the cost of the chili ingredients or with the preparation of the chili, let Bob or Michele know.
