September 23, 2015-The Maryland Department of Disabilities is proud to represent the needs of those with disabilities during the planning process for the visit by Pope Francis to our area. Cecilia and her guide dog, Gardenia, are busy at event headquarters all week so they can immediately advocate for those with access and functional needs during this time. A big thank you to Cecilia and Gardenia for working so hard on behalf of Marylanders!

September 18, 2015- Carolyn has been a Direct Support Professional at Dove Pointe in Salisbury for 15 years. She works as a one to one for an individual who is blind, deaf, and diagnosed with an intellectual disability. Carolyn found the individual she supports can direct her daily schedule with a tactile board. DSPs are amazing!
