Lighthouse Foster Care and Adoption 
 
 
 
Lighthouse Foster Care and Adoption is looking for potential LGBT foster parents.

The Foster Care Program is part of Lighthouse Youth Services, a not-for-profit organization that operates social services for youth and their families, including Runaway and Homeless Youth, Foster Care and Independent Living, Early Childhood Services, Home Based Services, Group Homes, Juvenile Justice Services, and Charter Schools.

Lighthouse has offered Foster Care since 1979, serving thousands of foster children during that time and becoming a national leader in Foster Care.

PFLAG Welcomes Ryan Messer 
The February PFLAG meeting will feature guest speaker Ryan Messer.  Mr. Messer is currently serving as the Over-the-Rhine Community Council President.  He has enjoyed a nearly 20-year career at Johnson & Johnson and he was a co-founder of Future Leaders OTR.  He and his husband have two sons.

The Monthly PFLAG meeting will be held on Tuesday 2/9 beginning at 7:30pm.  Meetings are held at Mt. Auburn Presbyterian Church.  
Love is a Cabaret with CMC  
 
Join the Cincinnati Men's Chorus for an evening of love, laughs and libations at the annual Valentine's Day Cabaret, "Love is a Cabaret!"  Snuggle up to your someone special for a sometimes funny, sometimes touching and almost always irreverent evening of music and laughter.   There will be light bites to make sure you don't get too carried away and this year you can add a special VIP package of reserved seating, special dinner buffet and other surprises designed to really impress your Valentine!

Cincinnati Pride Throwback Skate

 
Join Cincinnati Pride on Fountain Square on Saturday, February 13 from 5-9PM for Throwback Skate! Present the voucher at the admissions tent and a $2 donation will go to Cincinnati Pride (good 5-9PM on 2/13/16 only).

Cost: $6.00 admission and $4.00 skate rental. Payable by cash or credit card (Visa/MasterCard/AmEx)

  Pride Night at Kings Island Potluck

Spend Valentine's Day with good friends at On Broadway Bar at the next monthly pot luck dinner in support of funding Pride Night at Kings Island.  Every September, the regional LGBTQ community enjoy a night of rides, entertainment and togetherness.  It's always a great time and for the good folks of The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Greater Cincinnati, it's also a lot of hard work.  Come out and show your support!

  Muse Choir Performs during Music on the Avenue

 
St. John United Church of Christ, an open and affirming congregation in Bellevue, KY present the 17th annual Music on the Avenue.  For five Friday evenings in February and March, the sanctuary is converted into a concert hall featuring a wide variety of music genre from chamber ensembles, operatic performances, steel drum bands and Cincinnati's own MUSE Women's Choir.

 LGBTQ Scholarship Opportunity
HRC  previewed state and local legislative battles in the year ahead, including anti-LGBT bills likely to be considered in at least 27 states. HRC anticipates that, as in 2015, anti-LGBT activists will push for measures that give legal cover to discrimination against LGBT Americans in dozens of states. The analysis also highlights opportunities to advance LGBT equality in 2016.

Resource for LGBTQ Youth

  
GLSEN Greater Cincinnati hosts a weekly Youth Group meeting.  The GLSEN Youth Group is a safe and welcoming space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and their allies to gather. Each week the group explores a topic of interest to middle and high school-aged youth with an emphasis on LGBTQ issues. Youth group also includes weekly social time and a quarterly social outing or activity. GLSEN Youth Group relies on a series of youth generated ground rules to keep our space supportive and positive. We participate in days of action sponsored by GLSEN national and provide opportunities and resources for group members to organize actions in their school community, such as Day of Silence and Ally Week. - Click here for more details.

Queer Queens of Qomedy Come to Cincinnati

All Hail the Queens. National headliner Poppy Champlin is bringing her highly sought after The Queer Queens of Qomedy to Cincinnati on March 3 at 7PM to Go Bananas Comedy Club.
