Advice from an Aggie :: 3 Days is a Long Time to be Dead

There once was a time where I lived in a city with well over 5 million inhabitants. To get to the city central, one had to take the public transportation; too many cars. I traveled by plane, train, and cars for years. Now I live on the farm. Long past are the days of suitcases and boarding queues. Know what? I am just fine with that. No I take that back, I am thrilled about that. Where years ago my neighbor was a cogiddy city taxi driver, now my neighbor is any one of the 30+ bovine beasts roaming the pasture next door. Oh sorry... bovine is a cow. But I love it! I did enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city.  I love the   ...

March Featured Items of the Week

Every week in March, we highlight one of our favorite products at Eagle Hardware Farm and Ranch!  Each featured product is something you may need now as we prepare for warmer weather, springtime and gardening season; it may be a new product we are carrying, an item that is on sale, or it just may be a product we think you plain just need to know about!  Here are our Featured Items of the Week for March:  March 7 - Eraser -With the longer days before us and the warmer temperatures knocking on the door, those unsightly weeds begin to poke their ugly selves up through the lawn.  Don't let their unsightly leaves discourage you, get a head start on killing them early, quick and effective.  An option many choose is to use a non-selective herbicide like Eraser to kill everything.  Using Eraser now, before your grass begins to grow, is a sure-fire way to insure only your lush grass to emerge in the coming weeks.  This week's Featured Item of the Week is Eraser.  Stop by and let us introduce you to it!  See you ...

Chicken Workshop :: Wednesday, March 16 :: 6:30pm

As many of you have participated and experienced, Eagle Hardware Farm and Ranch has hosted a number of workshops in the past to help educate our customers and community.  Topics have ranged from cattle to chicks to cucumbers.  We have been overwhelmed at the response and plan on building on them in 2016.  One of the most popular is the Chicken Workshop. Last year we had over 100 attendees! This year it is on March 16 at 6:30pm in The Barn at Eagle Hardware.  If you currently have chickens, plan on getting chicks, or are simply curious what the ruckus is all about, make plans to be at Eagle Hardware on this night.  Our speaker will be Jesse Huth, Poultry Specialist from Huth Avian. Please do not forget to RSVP soon by calling the store at 972-635-7878 or online here using the form below.  Space is limited and we know the workshop will fill fast.  See you there!
