JOIN US! - DEC Institute on Family Engagement
On March 16, the Division for Early Childhood will bring together a passionate group of dedicated individuals who work with or on behalf of young children (0-8) with disabilities and other special needs and their families. Attendees will gather from all over Massachusetts and its surrounding regions to unite with other participants who are invested in supporting and facilitating family engagement in early intervention and early childhood special education.
Mary Beth Bruder, PhD, is the Director of the University of Connecticut A.J. Pappanikou Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, and a professor in the School of Medicine. She has been in the field of early childhood intervention for 40 years and she has directed state and national research, training and demonstration projects. She currently co-directs (with George Sugai) the Early Childhood Personnel Technical Assistance Center and the Doctoral Leadership program in Early Childhood Intervention.

In an effort to offer support to parents, families, and students, and ensure that our Institute on Family Engagement is easily affordable, DEC is extending the $75 member rate to students pursuing coursework in early childhood special education and parents and families of young children with special needs. (A 40% discount!) In order to receive a discount code, parents/family members must send an email to [email protected], explaining their relationship to the individual with special needs and their intent to attend. Students, please send an email to [email protected] describing what degree you're pursuing, where you attend school, and your intent to attend.
