Workforce Housing Incentive for Chamber Member Employees
The Chamber has advocated for workforce housing in Goleta for many years.  The new Hollister Village rental community is leasing quickly, but is eager to help put local employees in local housing. They are offering an incentive for Chamber members and their employees to take advantage of this opportunity for brand new apartment living in the heart of Goleta. Mayor Farr and Arie Dejong Address Business Leaders at January Issue and Policy Roundtable
It was a full house at the first Issue and Policy Roundtable of the year. The group welcomed newly appointed Mayor, Jim Farr and Vice President of Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital Arie Dejong. Mayor Farr gave an overview of his objectives for 2016, touting the importance of improvements to Old Town and the on-going battle of revenue neutrality.

Arie Dejong gave the group an update on the new state of the art hospital. The facility opened last year with new features including expanding to 20 private rooms in the emergency department, more operating rooms, doubling the number of bariatric chambers to four from two, expanding both the Surgical Services Department and the Center for Wound Management, and much more.
