April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and child care providers are an important part of the system of care and support for a family.
Strengthening the relationships with the families in your care, working with parents to understand their child's development, involving parents in their child's learning, and offering a program that includes children of all abilities contributes to a family's well being and resilience.

Children do not learn skills at the same pace or in the same way, but when milestones do not develop as expected or do not appear at all, parents and caregivers may become concerned.
Child Action, Inc. is hosting two free workshops this month about developmental stages and the concerns that can come up.
