Our demo artist for March is Kathleen Maling.
Kathleen is originally from New Jersey and has lived in Florida for over thirty years, first in Miami and then in Saint Augustine where she currently resides. She is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, and Florida Watercolor Society. She won second place in the International Artist Wildlife Challenge for her Komodo Dragon Painting and she is profiled in the Feb/March issue of International Artist magazine.
She'll be showing us how she paints
an alligator for the demo.
We are very fortunate to have Kathleen as our workshop artist for March. There are only few slots left available in her workshop. If you are interested in attending the workshop, contact Teresa Kirk at [email protected]

GCWS Community Outreach
Our goal for 2015-2016 is to raise $2,600 which will send 10 deserving children to 1-week art camps at the
Young At Art Museum
January 2016 Reception for Florida Focus on Art with Young At Art Student Work,
held at Gallery of Amazing Things, Dania Beach, Florida raised $1,000 towards our goal.
We continue to raise money, and currently have tuition for 7 children paid for.

Paint in 20b. $20 per session.
LIFE LESSIONS
Draw from life. Why? Because working from the live model teaches you the art of drawing - concepts like action (gestures), structure and edges (soft and hard). One of the great surprises in art is that drawing from a model won't just improve your figures, but also your landscapes, still-lifes and portraits.
Sessions are held at ArtServe on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., bring a brown bag lunch.
