A Fall Festival is coming to Wadsworth! This marks another event intended to provide quality, free entertainment to our residents. We began with our 50th Year Celebration last summer and continued with the Jazz Concert a couple of weeks ago.
Structured as a quasi public/private partnership, it creates a situation where you can enjoy the music and festivities at no cost while minimizing the expense to the Village for putting on such events.
The only cost to you is any food or beverage purchases you make from the vendor who provides them. The vendor also underwrites some of the costs of the event.
It's a win/win/win situation: You get free entertainment, the Village incurs a significantly reduced cost, and the vendor, a local business, gets a chance to make a small profit. In addition to that, a portion of the sales tax collected is returned to the Village, further reducing our costs. How can you beat that?
In a few days, you will receive another newsletter which will provide updates on several matters, including our favorite topic, construction of the county roads which bisect and dissect our community.
As always, if you have comments or suggestions about this newsletter, contact me.
