Public Hearing-

The next public hearing on the 2014 Comprehensive Plan Update will be held Thursday, April 3rd, 6PM at the Prairie Trail School located on Wadsworth Road between Delany and Green Bay Roads. All Wadsworth residents are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts about the Plan which has been under consideration and design for more than 16 months.

This document is more of a vision of the future rather than a formal plan. It is not a plan cemented in concrete nor does it change any current zoning. It is a collection of ideas which will guide planning for the future. These guidelines depict what our Village could look like in ten years given certain assumptions and planning suggestions.

So far, much of the public commentary has addressed the conceptual plan for the downtown area of Wadsworth. Based on that feedback, some interesting alternative ideas have emerged, and you can see what they are at the meeting. The residents are speaking and we are listening.

As a parenthetical note, the issues of a revitalized downtown and a facility for senior housing were goals in the 2000 Comprehensive Plan. Come see how the new plan improved on those ideas.

Do you want to help shape the future of Wadsworth? If so, please come to the April 3 meeting. You can just listen if you want, or talk. We want your comments regardless of whether you like the DRAFT plan or would like to suggest alternatives or changes. If you have some great ideas, we most certainly want them as well. Let's work together to make this vision for the future a good one.

This draft document is available on the Village's website.
