Effective today, May 1, the Village Administrative Office will be open Monday-Friday 8:30-5, and will now be open during the noon hour.
Branch Collection Starts Tuesday, May 13
Wind Point Public Works collects branches from residents for disposal on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning May 13 through November 11. Storing Boats and Recreational Vehicles

If you are considering keeping a boat or other recreational vehicle on your property this summer, please be mindful of Village ordinances on this topic. Per Sec. 3.05 of the zoning code, one boat (and trailer), camper, camper trailer or recreation vehicle may be stored on the property between April 1 and October 31. The vehicle must be kept behind or to the side of the home and not less than 15 feet from the lot line.

A Outdoor Storage Permit is required for any exceptions to the above or for storage of other vehicles. For more information, click here to view the ordinances or contact the zoning administrator Jon Schattner at 262.902.2782.

Village Assessor Preparing 2014 Assessment Roll
Keith Munson, Village Assessor

Village Assessor Keith Munson is in the process of preparing the 2014 real estate assessment roll. As part of this process, Keith is inspecting properties where improvements have been made in the last year. Once the assessment roll is complete, Keith will mail notices to all owners of any property with changed values for 2013.

State law sets a procedure for reviewing property assessments annually. Property owners have an opportunity to meet with the village assessor to discuss their property value at Open Book. The 2014 Open Book will be May 28 from 4-6 pm at the Administrative Office. Call (800) 242-2130 to schedule an appointment.

If after speaking with the assessor a property owner is not satisfied with the property value, they may file an objection to the Board of Review. The 2014 Board of Review will meet June 5 from 5:30-7:30 at the Village Hall.
