2015 Lighthouse Tower Climbs Announced
From the Friends of the Wind Point Lighthouse...

The 2015 Wind Point Lighthouse Tower Climbs begin again this year on June 7 and continue the first Sunday of each month until the last climb on October 4. Climbs start at 9 a.m. and the last climb is at 3:30 p.m. Tour reservations are now made online from the following website: windpointlighthouse.com/tours. Walk-ups can always join tours on the 1/2 hour, but without a reserved place, you may have to wait.

The cost is still $10 for those over 12 and $5 for ages 6-12 to be paid through Paypal. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, children under 6 are not allowed to climb. Reservations should be made on-line by noon of the Saturday before the climb day. This provides our Tour Coordinator time to organize a great experience for you.

Hopefully, everyone in Wind Point has made the climb or encouraged their friends and family to do so.  We are looking forward to the 2015 season and hope to see many of you there!

Meet New Trustee Lincoln Murphy
Lincoln ("Linc") Murphy resides on Birchwood Ct. with his wife, Susan, and their golden retriever, Danny Boy. Linc has been an attorney working in Racine since 1979 after graduating from University of Wisconsin-Madison law school. He  has been with the law firm of Murphy Johnson & Trampe SC since 1982 after serving three years as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the County of Racine.

When asked about his interest in serving on the Wind Point Village Board, Linc said "When I served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for Racine County I enjoyed working in local government as an attorney representing the County in various legal matters. With my legal background and experiences I thought I could be of some use to the Village and, therefore, I initially volunteered for the Board of Appeals and decided to run for the Village Board for that same reason. It has always been important to me and our law firm to give back to our community which has supported me through my entire legal career."

Linc and Susan enjoy hiking in the north woods, fishing, playing golf and motorcycling. Their favorite get-away is Door County. Linc also enjoys some hunting and shooting sporting clays.
