The next issue will have information about Newport Township, the Wadsworth Historical Society, the College of Lake County, and other useful links.

As always, let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for this newsletter.

Slideshow of the Pageant-

We've prepared a slideshow of the photos I took at the Wadsworth Area Pageant.  If you'd like to watch the show it's on the Village web site.  For your convenience, click HERE.
Concert in the Park-

It's coming up this Saturday, September 26, from 6 to 10pm in the Village park.  Music will be provided by the Blooze Brothers , a great band.

It's a family affair this year!  Bring your kids so they can have some fun, too.  The kids' events start at 5:30 and Tracy's (of sandwich, beverage, and vegas-style gaming fame)  will provide free face painting, balloon art, and juice boxes for children.  It's their way of saying thanks for your support of their new venture on the corner of Rts. 41 and 173.

Tracy's will also give out a free $5 game play ticket to the first 25 adults who bring a child.

Even more stuff for kids!  Kaye Brothers of Gurnee is providing more free activities including a bouncing house fire truck and a 30-foot climbing rock.  They will also be selling ice cream, hot chocolate, cotton candy and coffee with 25% of the proceeds donated to the Wadsworth Area Queens Alzheimer's fund raiser.

Tell your friends and family about these events because not everyone has signed up for this electronic newsletter.  The more kids, the more fun for them!

Speaking of our beautiful Queens, they will also be there to promote their Alzheimer's cause.

The Savanna House will be offering a fabulous pig roast with all the sides.  So come one, come all to the free concert, bon fire, and fun activities.

Farmers' Market-

Our Farmers' Market continues for a couple more weeks on Fridays from 2 to 7pm in Wadsworth Park.  Don't miss out on a chance to purchase some great, locally-grown produce as well as other hand-crafted items.
