A New Funding Opportunity for PhD Students/Applicants

The Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering (CEAE) at CU Boulder now hosts an NSF funded program geared toward engineering resilience. The goal of this fellowship is to train future scientists and engineers in research, coursework, and teaching in different areas that relate to resilience in the face of natural or manmade disasters. If you are interested in this area, you can work with faculty members from across the department to define your research related to engineering resilience in the face of manmade or natural disasters, and you can simultaneously apply for the EDC certificate. Check out the website: https://engresilience.wordpress.com/.

Ideas About Socially Responsible Engineering, Students' Varied Intentions to be Socially Responsible Engineers, and the Social Responsibility Motivations of Students who Leave Engineering. These results are mainly the product of three rounds of yearly, hour-long interviews with students.

Please RSVP to Greg if you plan to attend so he can plan snacks accordingly.
