LETTER
FROM  PRINCIPAL
SABLESKI

Parents,

The years spent in high school are tremendously impactful on determining a person's future and defining the type of life they will lead.  They experience highs and lows each day and make decisions at school, home and work or with friends and family that define their moral compass and shape their character.  We want every student to fulfill their promise and become the person God intends them to be.  We work hard each day in the classroom, in campus ministry, and through extracurricular activities to give them the tools they need to be successful, but we cannot do this alone.  It is critically important that the school and the family work together to keep our children on the right track.

To that end I am asking you to consider two things.  First, is attend the  Town Hall meeting sponsored by the Booster Club coming up on Monday, February 1st.  Our featured speaker will be Sgt. Jones from the Riverside police department who will speak to us about ways that we as parents can keep our kids away from the drug culture that is becoming more and more pervasive in society today.  Second, I urge you to keep track of what your child is doing on social media.  Inappropriate use of technology is a national epidemic and Carroll High School is not immune.  This year we have had numerous incidents of cyber-bullying and the posting of inappropriate content on the many vehicles social media now provides.  With your help however, we can keep our Patriots safe, happy and on the path to a successful life.

Because of the strong role you play in your child's life, it is certainly a great day to be a Patriot!

FEST
We invite you to support the Carroll St. Pat's Fest to be held March 11-12, 2016.  Friday evening will be the ever-popular Irish Fish Fry (adults only), followed by family fun on Saturday highlighting Irish Dancers, talented bands, delicious food, Celtic games, and more.  Our goal is to successfully bring together various groups at Carroll as well as create an entertaining event to the Greater Dayton area, in celebration of St. Patrick's Day!

Sponsored by the Alumni Association, the Patriot Booster Club, and the  Carrolleer Band Association.   Money raised will positively impact the entire Carroll community--benefiting academics, the arts, athletics, and alumni.

We need your help!  Fill out the volunteer form on Carroll's website or contact Julie Weitz at [email protected] if you would like to help.
