THE PIER DISTRICT

St. Petersburg Pier District encompasses 34 acres along St. Petersburg's picturesque waterfront. It is a landmark project in both size and location, and it will extend the energy of St. Petersburg's vibrant downtown to its waterfront.

The Pier District is comprised of two adjacent and concurrent projects: the Pier and the Approach. The City and design teams are actively working to coordinate the two projects to create one seamless experience once the Pier District opens.

The Pier project boundaries (shown in green) include the area from Spa Beach moving east over-water to the end of the Pier Head. The Approach (shown in orange-brown) connects the Pier to St. Petersburg's downtown core. Its boundaries follow the waterfront from the Renaissance Vinoy Hotel to Pioneer Park and Beach Drive to Spa Beach.

The Pier District is designed to appeal to many different interests, age ranges, activity levels and socioeconomic statuses. Input from the local community has guided the development of activities and amenities at the Pier District. It honors the recommendations of the Downtown Waterfront Master Plan and incorporates the key elements defined by the citizens' Pier Working Group.
