Sunti Pichetchiayakul Newsletter
Greetings Members! Sunti is back in Whitefish, Montana with a busy summer schedule ahead. From hosting international artists at his gallery in July and August to sculpting Jack Hanna for the Montana Outdoor Legacy, Sunti will be more involved with the Whitefish community this season and even participating in the Whitefish Festival of the Arts. Yet before we peak too far ahead, let's take a look at what Sunti has been up to over the past six months, including his meeting with Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, his recent TV shows, and his latest "Artist of the Year Award" by Howe Magazine!

Artist of the Year Award
On February 25, 2016, Sunti was awarded Artist of the Year by the popular national Howe Magazine. Sunti was further interviewed on their television channel.

Blesses Sunti's Sculpture
On April 30th, Princess Royal Maha Chakri Sirindhorn blesses Sunti's bronze bust of the late Princess Wallawongter Phra Ong Chao Arenthon, commissioned by Mr. Sakthip Krairiksh (Former Ambassador to America, Japan, and Cambodia). Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn was not only impressed by Sunti's work, but she was also in full support of his project to donate to every Thai state a bronze busts of her father, His Royal Majesty King Bhumipol Adulyadej. Recent Interviews
While we currently do not have access to all of Sunti's interviews, Sunti guest starred on "Bangkok Special," RS Channel's "Kwi-Plern," MCott 14's "Mom's Club", and Nation TV's "Thailand Vision." Sunti has also been interviewed on four different radio shows in Thailand this spring - Trinity Radio 98.75, Bangkok Radio AM 873, Channel 9 Radio "Greeting Room," and Education Radio, "Reader's Hour." We'll post the links to his television interviews once they become available.

This spring in Thailand, Sunti was featured in publications such as Daily News, Post Today, Mix Magazine, Howe Magazine, Partihan Newspaper, 106 Magazine, Thai Voice, Siam Dara (Thai Celeb) Newspaper, and hunsa.com (the Asian equivalent to yahoo or msn). We've posted a couple of links below.

Recent Appearances
Sunti's quest to discover the historical Buddha for his next sculpture gave rise to publishing the first book of his trilogy, "Unmasking the Buddha." Sunti's press conference took place on February 5, 2016 and was followed by his presentation with BookSmile at the national book festival on April 2, 2016.

Recent Commission
In April, Sunti completed two bronze busts of Mr. Meng Wanglee and his Wife, Mrs. Tongpoon Wanglee. The sculptures were commissioned by their son, Mr. Sukit Wanglee for the non-profit Tongpoon Foundation.
